Eigenfrequency Problem Containing Lorentz Dispersion Material

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone, I'm trying to simulate a 1D finite grating (or Photonic Crystal) containing material whose relative permittivity is described by Lorentz dipersion, using wave optics module, eletromagnetic wave, frequency domain, eigenfrequency. However, it seems like that something is wrong in the setting, as abnormal photonic band structure (compared to the case without dipersion) is expected around the oscillation frequency of the Lorentz dispersion, but I didn't observed any.

I've tried two ways to define the dispersion, including defining a relative permittivity function in 'material', and choosing 'Drude-Lorentz Dispersion Model' in 'wave equation', but both ways failed.

I'd appreciate it if you can offer some advice and discussion! Thank you a lot!
