Solid to liquid transition

Hello,

I am currently working on problem, that shows the deformation of a plastic plate under pressure und heat from the lower boundary.

I've reached the point, when the plate deforms as solid and the deforamtion is temperature dependent, but my problem is, that I also have to define a liquid part of the plate, it means: Starting from the Melting tempreture of the material some layers become liquid. How do you do that? Any tips?

Do I have to consider the liquid part as a flow, or can I just use some functions for the parameters of the body, which affect the deformation?

I've attached some screens with heat and pressure of my model.
