(ale) moving mesh, solid mechanics, and diffusion

When implementing convection-diffusion in a deforming solid in COMSOL, do we need all three, or just solid mechanics and convection-diffusion?

Where the diffusion is set to "spatial" instead of "material" so that the fluid velocity moves with the solid velocity.

One person in my group says, we solve for displacement/velocity in solid mechanics, inputs that into moving mesh, and then, by setting spatial in convection-diffusion, it works.

I say, you just use solid mechanics and set spatial in convection-diffusion.

Can anyone help clarify?
