v4.2 AC/DC, Maxwell Stress vs. Virtual Work

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello All,

After working for weeks on trying to solve an assymetric model using Maxwell Stress integration (with no luck), I came across several year+ old threads saying you need a symmetric mesh for Maxwell stresses to be accurate and to use virutal work instead. My mesh can not be sysmmetric (it is a composite beam in bending with elliptical magnetizable particles embedded in a non-magnetic matrix).

OK. Maxwell integration won't work.

Can someone tell me where you access virtual work formulations in version 4.2?

Thanks.

-Paris
