Out of Memory in Solver Version 3.5a

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I have a quick general question.

When you try to solve three applications at once (say, electrostatics, moving mesh and solid,stress/strain) and the solver immediately says Out of Memory, is that because a previous solution could somehow be taking up memory in the file or is it simply due to the fact that the model is too large or cumbersome to solve?

Are there any general tips on limiting memory usage? I would assume to limit the number of mesh elements, and maybe use Direct Spooles solvers. What other methods may be helpful?

Best,
Kevin
