Line maximum - data manipulation challenge

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I need to take a series of derived maximums (for Temperature, say) from a regular array of parallel lines which are perpendicular to the y-z plane and pass through a bounding box in 3D space.

The data will therefore form an array, each data point possessing both the y-z co-ordinate of the line and a derived maximum value from the solution along that line. The data will be interpolated to form a 2D colour plot

Within this 2D plot, the data will then be colour categorised according to 3 distinct temperature ranges. T<T1; T1<T<T2; and T>T2. An area integral will then be taken over the 2D plot for the total area in each colour category. Goal achieved.

How can I use the features in the Results node (or elsewhere) in COMSOL 4.3a in order to achieve my goal automatically for a each new solution I calculate.

Many Thanks in advance for any pointers, tips or instructions.

Dan
