Showing and Hiding Geometric Entities in COMSOL Multiphysics®

Duration: 5:57

You can hide parts of your model geometry using many tools and functionality within COMSOL Multiphysics®. This is helpful when trying to select geometric entities that are hard to reach within your model and assign them materials, custom mesh settings, physics boundary conditions, and other definitions.

These tools include the Hiding Geometric Entities and Showing Geometric Entities buttons in the graphics window toolbar, which also allow you to toggle between viewing the hidden and unhidden geometric entities in your model. Additionally, you can customize what parts of the geometry are hidden in your simulation, depending on the model tree item you currently have open. This is done through the Hide for Geometry, Hide for Physics, and Hide for Mesh Import features.

Watch this video to learn how you can show and hide geometric entities in the COMSOL® software to more easily view and select hard-to-reach geometries.
