Darcy - Brinkman Example
Darcy’s law describes flow velocities at a distance from the well. Closer to the perforation the Brinkman equations apply. Movement of fluid in the well is described by the Navier Stokes equations.
This example starts with a model that couples Darcy’s law with the Brinkman equations and the Navier Stokes equations (in the wellbore) to produce a fully coupled simulation for three different flow laws.
