Reaction Chain

This model describes the simultaneous transport of three solutes in a chain reaction within a variably saturated flow field. Involved are advection, dispersion, sorption, biodegradation, decay, and volatilization.

The parent solute decays to a daughter product, which generates another tracked daughter. Built on the flow field described in Sorbing Solute, the transport scenario described here comes from a well known dedicated variably saturated flow and transport code.
