Inputting Temperature Dependent Material Properties

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone,

I'm new to comsol and still learning so my question might not be very difficult. I am trying to input the thermal expansion material properties which are temperature dependent. My model involves structural mechanics loads and thermal expansion. The thermal expansion coefficient for one material is some function of temperature and the thermal expansion coefficient for the second material is some function of T if 273< T<923 or a different function of T if 923< T<3120K. Is there a way that I can input these functions and they recognize T as the temperature I have assigned to that material's domain?

Cheers
