COMSOL Blog

Welcome to the COMSOL Community!

News | Posted on June 16th, 2009 by

This is the grand opening of a number of exciting ways to stay in touch with colleagues around the world, hosted by the comsol.com website. One of the components of the Community is the Blog section, to which this is the very first contribution. We will keep this section informative but at the same time informal and relaxed. New posts will appear every now and then at a weekly pace.

The goal of the COMSOL Community section is to improve the community experience through increased communication, fellowship, and inclusiveness. It is a place for our community to trade ideas and get together.

Other parts of the Community apart from the Blog section are

  • Discussion Forum — Here, you can freely post messages with questions, comments or ideas you want to share. You are free to answer other users’ post.
  • Model Exchange — a tool for sharing models and files with the COMSOL community. Use this section if you have a complete model project that you would like to put on display.
  • User Presentations — by the click of a button, access papers and presentation published at the yearly COMSOL conferences.

The last bullet leads me to another extraordinary event for sharing ideas and learning from other users: Since 2005 we have been hosting conferences highlighting multiphysics work from users of COMSOL at a number of different venues throughout the world. The COMSOL Multiphysics community is growing strong and upwards of 50,000 users of the software are out there. The COMSOL Conferences have had almost 2,000 contributors. Don’t miss this year’s main events, the Boston conference, the Milan, Italy conference and the Bangalore, India conference. Take the chance to join the leaders in Multiphysics Simulations!

I am looking forward to being part of the new platform COMSOL Community.
